CONSTITUENT DECLARATION FOR SETTING UP 

 THE SOUTH-EASTERN EUROPEAN CILECT (SEEC)

The CILECT/GEECT member schools from South-Eastern Europe, whose representatives assembled in Sofia on 31 January – 01 February 2009 to discuss the representation of their particular interests and obligations ensuing from their participation in the aforesaid organization(s)

 AGREED

to establish an association within the framework of CILECT/GEECT.    

The association shall be named South-Eastern European CILECT– SEEC. Its main  goals are as follows:

 . To promote student and teacher mobility between SEEC member schools through joint projects, cross-cultural research cooperation and other educational and professional activities in the audiovisual domain.

   . To assess the feasibility of creating joint internationally recognized M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in the South-Eastern European audiovisual domain and to launch scholarship fund-raising initiatives for the purpose.

. To promote the high quality of teaching in the SEEC member schools.

    . To establish a SEEC website and a common database of pedagogic tools.

SEEC will be open to new members upon admission of new schools from the South-Eastern European region by CILECT/GEECT. 

The Constitutive Assembly has elected as SEEC Co-ordinator Prof. Ph.D. Manuela Cernat (UNATC)   and as SEEC Vice-Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Bulent Kucukerdogan (İKÜ), for a term of two years.
