EUROPEAN STUDENT FILM FESTIVAL (NOVEMBER 2009, SOFIA, BULGARIA)

This year will be the 5th edition of the student film festival Early Bird. As you know, the festival is international with participants mainly from the Balkan countries and Europe. This year, for the first time we received American films for selection, produced by students from the Boston University. 
We also hope to receive some entries from Brazil. The other participants are the ones that we have already established good partnerships – Universities from Turkey, Serbia, Romania, Albania and of course – Bulgaria.
This year we are planning to change the official festival venue with two new venues – a Cinema hall in the National Academy of Theater and Film Arts and a hall at the American Corner in Sofia (an American cultural centre, run by the US Embassy), which are also our partners. An official site of EARLY BIRD is about to start soon! We have been working on it for several months now.
We still have not received all the films for selection, therefore, we cannot give any up-to-date information about the official programme. But this will come soon.

So far, we have made a Facebook group named: Early Bird Student Film Festival.
